Momentum Controls brings more than two decades of hands-on building controls experience to point-to-point verification, startup, commissioning, and system performance. We work alongside contractors and owners to verify that systems are installed correctly, operate as designed, and are ready for handover.
After commissioning, Momentum Pulse keeps that visibility going—turning building data into a clear view of system performance long after the job is complete.
Services
From point-to-point verification to full commissioning: the hardest parts of getting building systems to perform reliably.
Rigorous testing of every control point: field devices, controllers, sequences. The system does exactly what the drawings say before anyone signs off.
On-site technical leadership during startup. Problems get diagnosed and fixed the day they appear, not logged for the next meeting.
End-to-end commissioning from pre-functional testing through final owner training. Systems verified to perform as designed — not just as installed.
Deep expertise in HVAC control sequences, damper and valve actuators, VAV systems, and central plant automation across multiple control platforms.
Projects
Hospitals, civic central plants, and commercial buildings across Southern California.
CompletedMarina del Rey, CA
Commercial Complex
Full commissioning and controls verification for a landmark Marina del Rey development. Complex multi-zone HVAC with centralized BAS integration.
HealthcareRiverside, CA
Healthcare Facility
Critical environment commissioning for a new Kaiser Permanente hospital. Precision controls essential for patient safety, surgical suites, and clean room environments.
GovernmentLos Angeles, CA
Central Plant
Large-scale central plant startup and commissioning serving the LA County Civic Center campus. Chillers, cooling towers, and complex distribution systems.

Momentum Pulse
Pulse is building-monitoring software we built and operate ourselves. Your automation system already records how the equipment runs — Pulse turns that into charts an owner can actually read, flags the patterns worth an engineer's attention, and keeps the history, so you can tell whether the building still performs the way it was commissioned to. It runs on the controls you already have: no new hardware, no rip-and-replace.
Time-series trends, hour-by-day carpet plots, cross-equipment comparison, scatter, and runtime & cycling stats. One equipment selection and one date window, shared across all of them.
Simultaneous heating and cooling, zones off setpoint during occupied hours, short cycling, stuck sensors, recording gaps. Energy-waste findings carry a rough cost-per-year estimate.
A building comfort scorecard, a printable monthly report, and email alerts when a serious fault shows up. The trend data stays the owner's.
Compatible with the most popular BACnet building automation systems. Pulse reads the trend data your controllers already record, so it fits onto the system in the building instead of replacing it.
About
Momentum Controls was built on more than two decades of hands-on building controls experience—from field installation and startup to point-to-point verification, sequence testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning.
We believe commissioning should be more than checking boxes and completing paperwork. We verify that systems actually operate the way they were designed to operate, identify the issues that stand in the way, and provide our clients with clear documentation to back it up.
Our job is simple: verify it, prove it, and get it right before handover.
